"Southland" is pretty good, crime drama based in south central L.A., if you liked The Wire and The Shield, you'll probably like Southland as well

I couldn't stand the wire. Just couldn't get into it.

I tried 3 times to get into it before it stuck. And then each season took a minute to get back into. But god damn if it wasn't the best show ever.

the opening episode was some white guy cop talking some ghetto black kid on the side of the street ... and the writing was just so stupid. like some Ivy grad who didn't know shit about cops and didn't know shit about black kids just pulling the most ridiculous dialogue out of his asshole.
