Absolutely hated Walking Dead. Not very good writing, acting. Spartacus is also an awesome show. I will also be checking out Mad Men in the next few weeks. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the funniest show on television IMO.

Homeland's been pretty solid but if you like watching a ton of episodes in a row it doesn't have a long enough run.

I can't believe no one has yet suggested The Wire. If you haven't seen it it's a must watch.

might also try Terra Nova. travel back in time 80 million to start a new world. it's filmed like a movie. good quality production.

Watch The Wire, if you haven't already. I've yet run into someone that doesn't love that series.

I've also heard some really good things about The Wire. I'm in the middle of breaking bad and that one is awesome. You should also watch Homeland. The first and only season is really good. I heard some good things about Shameless but haven't watched.

A kick ass show that HBO cancelled after 2 seasons and left it with unanswered cliffhangers was Carnivale.

Deadwood is badass too.
