Books don't fix totals or sides. They react and adjust their numbers based on where the bets are coming in.

I don't understand what you're asking. Shady players and officials are the ones who play to certain numbers. Books may have certain leans on certain plays and entice bets accordingly, but point shaving, fixing, etc. isn't done by the books. Never said it was.
