Would this work if you booked through priceline or hotwire. I've gotten the Wynn many times off those sites but have been way too chicken/cheap ass to try it on such a discounted rate

LOL anyone going to vegas and spending enough time in their room to worry about a view shouldnt be going to vegas in the first place.

One thing I never got, people are going on VACATION, who wants to spend time in a hotel room or worry about what it looks like? Theyre all infested with bedbugs, *** stains and snot rockets. So who cares? Walk in, throw your shit on the bed, maybe put some stuff in the safe and leave. Come back, crash (ON TOP OF THE COVERS), get up shit, shower, maybe shave then leave. And not see it again until that night.

Seriously people. While Vegas isnt really a lavish get away I still imagine people ask about the trip, I doubt highly most people start off with 'we had an awesome room'. If they do then that is just sad.

The "trick" is booking 1-2 weeknights max, and having a nice amt of loyalty points.

Locking up these rooms 4-5 nights on a comp is a money loser. Putting a high dollar player in the room for a night makes them loyal and is a chance the hotel will take. 20 dollars is nothing to the front desk staff, 50 might move them.

This time of year, vegas is trying to finish the year strong and take their share of holiday bonuses. If it means comping a little better, so be it. Why not treat those who come in on their slowest 2 weeks a little better.
