Thinking life is about having a kid is narrow minded.
Life is about many many things. I would argue a person who goes through their life helping hundreds of people has done much more for society and this world than a person has done by having a kid. Having a kid is nothing to be proud of and no one should be congratulated for having a kid. Raising a kid to be a productive member of society is something to be proud of! And that deed should be commended!

I am not sure if there is a perfect age that can be generalized for everyone. People mature at different ages, want different things in life, and have different aspirations for their future. The perfect age would depend on each of these factors and others.

If you want to travel around the world when you are young then you would not want to have a child in your early 20's, but if you want to be young enough to enjoy your grandkids and be able to travel etc when you are older then you would want to start sooner than if not.

It's all about when the person is ready to take on the massive responsibility..

Around 30...don't really think it matters if someone is 29 or 31...teens and early 20'sto immature...need to be a kid not have one...not to mention fun things to do before having the additional responsibility...if you wait too long not enough energy to keep up...don't want to be 70 watching you son/daughter graduate...

I was 26 and 28 when my two kids were born which was just about the right time for us. A lot depends on the individuals and their circumstances though.
