Important not to let last years results brainwash, the Jets have made a # of great offseason acquisitions, their OL should protect Favre, they should have a good running game, some talent for Favre on receiving end, and their defense is improving. Not a bad draft either.

My initial read is 7-9, although I am VERY biased (Jets fan). I think Favre will be worth about 2 wins. Thank goodness that the Jets play a very soft schedule overall.

I think a lot of people will be surprised with the Jets this year, I think 9 wins is most realistic though but I can make a scenario where they go 10-6. Aside from Favre, this is a better team than last years across the board.

Guessing how much extra Favre is worth, coming into a new system late, new team, new city, etc is a big guessing game. Even so, I'd never bet against Favre with the odds against him.

We're seeing it the same way, Slacker. I'm very happy with my over 7 at +110 odds I was able to scoop up late last night, as well as the Jets -3 week 1 against the Fish. Favre isn't going to be disgraced by losing to the lowly Dolphins in his first game with the Jets.

i think 7-9 is more likely, they have 2 gms vs. new eng (both losses), at san diego, buffalo twice who is improving, their schedule should be easy because of their 4-12 rec last yr but its tough because the afc is tough

I lost big on the jets last few weeks and these losses to 49ers and seahawks are pitiful but this was an incredible year no matter what happens.If I were a jets fan ,I would have loved to have had season tickets this year.this miami game will be great
