#71The best fiscal policy the US could develop is cut spending and cut taxes for everyone. That is the whole problem with big government thinking, people think the government is the solution to all problems, but in fact it is not the solution to any problems. Government run Social Security will probably not be around when I am old enough to get my money from it, but I still have to pay it. Government run social programs do good yes, but so do privately run social programs, and privately run programs must be economically solvent to survive, while government run programs do not.Comment -

Read an introductory economics book, even just read a copy of the Economist
Then jump out a window, or do the window thing first, it doesn't really matterComment -

#75I have yet to see a republican denounce the passing of the Frist bill that takes away their enjoyment to gamble in their own homes. Why is that? I mean this just affirms everyones belief that they can't think for themselves.
As far as my political affiliations, I think all politicians are scumbags. Put me in power and I'll line em all up so I can mow em down.
as for welfare, sure demos are more compassionate towards the poor but it doesn't mean repubs don'tgive out handouts. They give them to rich corporations so they can export our jobs and buy more vacation homes in the Caribbean.Comment -

#76I am not a Republican, right now both parties are so similar on the issues I care about it doesn't really matter to me, but I don't know anything about the bill.Originally posted by daggerkobeI have yet to see a republican denounce the passing of the Frist bill that takes away their enjoyment to gamble in their own homes.
