i am not read this entire thread, but the issue is greater than salaries and such. the entire business model is wrong. nba is losing ticket sales on those huge arenas. i think they are also losing money on season ticket holders. people are more likely in the last several years to stay home and watch the game on tv because of all of the multi tasking you can do at home.

the real screw up was building those 40k people arenas. basketball is much better at 15-20k.
