Unless they come and play great right at the beginning everyone gives up on them, and I think that comes from the ownership, who doesn't understand development.

The jury is still out on Kennedy and Hughes, and Melky and Cano are average or below, so we shall see how many of the future guys get a real chance.

I don't know if Ryan is a cowboys fan or of that type, but all of those die hard Cowboys fans i'v meet on forums uses the past as an excuse for they choking in the playoffs almost every year now... Romo is a great QB, but he's the same type as ARod... Can't preforme as good in the playoffs as in the regulare season..

Im not born up with baseball, so I had to find a team that I liked....
As for the Flyers it was the hard way they played...
For the Yanks it was the first team that I heard about except for the Red Sox...
So after watching a 1/2 season that Yankees "fan" part of me was gone...
I just tried to find a team to root for, I wasn't a big fan of them
Jeter was my fav. player tho and is among my 10 still...
Same in soccer too... Took a while before I was rooting for Real too...

Im a big Eagles fan, but I can't see the Eagles even make the playoffs without a star WR to help McNabb out...
I got the Cowboys as the NFC East champs (hope im wrong) and after today Skins as a contender (it was only the HoF game, but they looked impressive and you never know with a new GM..)
Im just hopeing for a great season for McNabb and maby a season where Westbrook don't get handicaped by his injuries..

The only reason I got back then for rooting for the Yanks was that I didn't know about any other teams... In Norway they don't show baseball cause just 1/20 of the population even know what baseball is...
I became a Flyers fan after watching some games with different teams, but after watching them playing so physical compared to other hockey teams and the die hard fans I ended up rooting for them and i'll never stop doing that...
Every time im watching the Yanks I got a feeling that they don't care (that's what I feele) so it was just borring to watch... (Was funnier with golf)

A lot of thing chance when you get to know the sport and understand it... When I started rooting for the Yanks and started to follow baseball I knew 3 things: HR, SO and Jeter...

I think Romo is a great QB, but people expect to much of him and I don't think he can handle the pressuere yet... Migh do that after another season or 2....

Also agree on that one about the stats...
That is also what I don't like about McNabb, he thinks to much on the completion percentage so he won't throw away the ball when the pressure hits him...

They are about to go 4-7 soon. I said a few days ago (scroll up) that the Yankee starters will have an ERA of 6.00 in August and September.

Either way you see it the trade was horrible (not because Nady and Marte do not produce) and the team is about to collapse. This is not a mini-slump. This is a major collapse!
