It's by far the best hotel/casino in downtown Vegas. It cannot compare with the super nice Strip hotels, but it's pretty nice.

Huh? I wouldn't walk too far off of Fremont if you don't know the area very well. However, walking down Fremont St. (down to Las Vegas Blvd.) is usually pretty safe.

In the past few years,Vegas has become really paranoid about room damages where you need a deposit.They always put a pending charge on your debit or credit card and drop it after they check the room out when you leave and find it to be in good shape.

I was there with a couple of friends a couple of months ago and they've stopped giving drinks to people standing at tables watching friends play, or they have in The mandalay Bay at least. It wasn't so long ago that you could stand at a table and watch and drink as much as you wanted but those days seem to be disapearing.
