Well, after waiting for an hour I got my interview and spoke with serveral higher up's. We set up a 3rd interview and I was asked to wait while he checked with someone else when a good time was for the next meeting. Well about 10min later he came back in with an offer letter.

It's a pretty good gig and good money. The down part is the Days. 3-12's and they are the weekends.

you better take it. the best part is that no brass will be there during those hours and you can still bet with today's hand held devices you can follow stuff too much easier than when we had to rely on the radio for scores and updates. take the job and then slough off when you are doing it.

I will be one of the top brass there. This is a high security area. I have to leave my cell phone at the secured entrance for the first few weeks. I will be in charge of 117 people, no time to bet during the day. I will be DVRing games and trying not to catch any scores except on my bet tracker on breaks and lunch.

I am 97% sure I am going to take it. They actually want me to start this week, so things are going to start going fast as soon as I accept the offer.

Bobby, Those 4 days off are going to be great, except i will be on call. I have a nice title, except I am considered the relief position, hence working the weekend. Since I am salary I do get double time for the OT I work while on call. A HUGE ++++

Thanks for the congrats guys. I have been in Career purgatory for a little while. I had a contract working for the USPS that started in June. On, Sept 1 I got a notice my contract was being terminated do to insufficient budgeting for my position.
