US Open is being greedy! They said on air today that a roof at the open would cost about $160 million. Interestingly in 2008 just 3 years ago it was quoted that a roof would only cost $100 million. Something doesn't add up there.

The amount of $ the US Open gets for TV rights is HUGE!

According to the CBS article they are losing TONS of $$ on tennis due to rain delays...rating have been horrible.

You just gotta LOVE how radio commentators semi-seriously advocated the idea of all players donating ALL of their US Open prize money (20-25mln annually) for the next 5 years to get a roof on Arthur Ashe stadium.

what a disgrace every other tournament venues have roof, we dont have it here in usa. this is been going for 2.. 3 years now.. VERY IRRITATING.. us open sucks.. if u are going to have the tournament during end of summer.. what u think.. its going to be dry? tournament officials are straight up dumb and should get fired. i wont be surprised if some players start to skip us open, i bet the hard court players wont even bother to show up from now on

why don't they start this shit at 8am local time and not 11am? 3 hours would make a difference in how many matches get played. rain or no rain.
