I like the idea of bad weather helping offenses. Weather was poor after the first cancellation and WVU was scoring at will yesterday. I personally think it helps the offenses a bit more than the defenses since the offensive player knows where he's going and the defensive players have to adjust, I believe a poster earlier brought this same point up. This is an age-old argument though.

My opinion is that if the game lands under 45, it'll be very close and probably Miami's to win.

But given all the x-factors and that everyone and their mother is in on this game, it's best to keep the bets low.

Really, this particular game is gambling much more than handicapping.

MD coming off an excellent improvement year, has lots of returning quality starters; 2 good RB's return, coach likes the running game as he did at U. Conn.
2 DL & LB & DB starters out for Miami, plus (again) QB & WR & OL out.
Miami might quit if it gets down on the road... the whole goddam program is possibly getting the death sentence... as opposed to strong up and coming team with a lot of returning starters with new quality coach driving for perfection.
