It's amazing that African-Americans are even where they are at now given the long long history of slavery and racism in this country. I would say that A-A have overachieved as a race since they have been deprived for much of their history in this country of the same access to resources and education that whites have had...not too mention the relentless discrimination that they have endured now for the better part of 3 centuries. I agree with most of what you say but my point is, all the things you describe CREATE racism because 'multi-cultural melting pots' don't work in small countries that are already overpopulated in city areas and the problems are exaserbated by the newcomers reluctance to adopt a 'western' attitude. Why do you think there is no problem with the chinese or as you rightly point out, indians? Maybe, as you rightly point out, they recognise the traditions and customs of the place theyve decided to live in, much the same way as I do in California.
