Media myth. Most Muslims follow the standard Islamic scholarly line that Sharia can only apply in Islamic countries - ie those with an almost entirely Islamic population. You can't have Sharia without it being fully integrated and implemented into the state, it doesn't make sense.

Incidentally, almost every Muslim majority country in the world doesn't use Sharia. The only real exceptions are Libya and Saudi Arabia, and in a limited local form in small regions of Pakistan and Nigeria.

Funny you should say that. I moved to Florida from Michigan almost two years ago. This has nothing to do with being racist, but more because I wasn't around many hispanic people. I thought all spanish speaking people were Mexicans...and i had NO clue that Puerto Ricans were American citizens. Pretty sad indeed.
