-125 FEDERER vs NADAL +115 Discussion Thread
This is a tough one, but I think I'm gonna go for Federer. Don't see the line getting any better before game time. I think Nadal is a bit overhyped, though of course he's definitely improved. Federer's record is just too outstanding, and his play so far seems to confirm he is a different man from the beginning of the year.

Not to mention that Nadal did not meet expectations today.

      Unfortunately I haven't seen Federer-Safin yet.

Maybe. Just can't see Fed being any cheaper than -125. People must be nuts!

I would think the public is gonna be all over Fed.

Also, remember its not always the public that moves the lines, sometimes its the big hitters.

Last year Federer beat Rafa by a miracle basically. Rafa is much better now and Federer is about the same or maybe even worse.

The highest ranked player Federer has faced at this tourney has been Leyton Hewitt the 20th seed. Nadal has swept 3 seeded players, 2 of them ranked higher than Hewitt. Neither player has lost a set.

To me its a coin flip this year. Nadal is much closer to winning wimbledon than Fed is to winning the French.

Tight game, but at that value, I'm gonna be taking Nadal. Should have won last year, will win this year.

Thanks. I'm likely to just sit back and watch though. If anything I will take the plus money in Rafa. Probably wont bet it though.

That was basically my logic before the tournament. When Nadal beat Karlovic, Roddick and Djokovic at Queens, it demonstrated what incredible form he's in (and Queens is way faster than Wimbledon, so even less suited to Nadal's game). Winning Hamburg before Roland Garros was also very impressive, because although it's a claycourt it's pretty quick (which is why Federer beat him there previously, and has won it 4 times).

Can't see past Nadal tbh. That backhand is now just as ridiculously good as his forehand, he can hit the flat forehand much better than last year, and his serve is a fair bit better.

                                      Weird line movements at Pinny.

Federer dropped from -125 to -123 on the match, but the 1st set line went from Roger -116 to Roger -122.

Federer at Wimbledon still until he gets knocked off his perch. I think this match is his whole year. This is his tourny over the last 6 years and if he loses, then he's clearly not "the man" any more. Nadal will win this tourny eventually though. I'll wait on the line to move before deciding if I actually want to play.

                                            Nadal in 4 sets

Only reason is Fed is a choke player now against him, all the pressure is on him.

Gulbis took a set off Rafa. They are a combined 36-1 in sets. Neither has been in serious danger.

Soderling and Gicquel broke Federer. I don't recall their odds but they were fairly sizable dogs in the range of Schuettler.
