The Cash 5 in Colorado is played every day I think, and there are only 32 numbers to choose from which is why the odds of matching all 5 are much better then say Powerball. That is why the jackpot is only $20k, I thought it was pretty low too when he first told me how much he had won but it makes sense what you read about the game.

He is not a huge lotto player, every year I would estimate he spends less then $300 in lotto tickets and a couple hundred at the slots in the casinos, he plays the nickel and dime machines only.

Last month he loaned me $16K so I could buy a new car without having to go to the bank so that was awesome. Once it's mostly paid back he will probably say I don't need to give him anymore, which he has done with my other cousins.

Bottom line is he's up, good for him. It's funny when you see these old ladies playing three slots at once, usually dollar machines, and they get all excited when they hit a 2K jackpot or something.

Hah, looks like a got a lurker to create an account and make his 1st post. Welcome to SBR! And yeah my one friend always says the lottery is a tax for stupid people. I tend to agree, but at least it gives some people hope to hit a big one like PowerBall and never have to work again.

That's awesome. It was announced yesterday that the $230 million powerball winning ticket yesterday was sold in my county in MN...everyone got all giddy and then pissed after they checked their tickets. The winner hasn't come out yet. I hope I know the person

Do him a favor. Is there a racetrack by you? Do you know an owner of a store that sells lottery tickets? If so, collect 20k worth of tickets, not that hard really, to offset the winnings.

Maybe it doesn't matter because he is older. Scrap that then.
