    WSEX not honoring their reload bonus!
    I received an email from WSEX on 6-5-08 titled 'June 15% Bonus' that offered a 15% reload on up to a $5k deposit until 6-11-08. I deposited $5k via moneygram on 6-11-08, emailed them the ref codes that evening, and waited for the deposit and bonus to be credited.

    Unfortunately, I never heard back from them via email, and it took until 6-14-08 for me to reach someone on their live chat. They credited my deposit and bonus on this day, but I only received a 10% bonus (not 15%). After speaking with 'Craig' via live chat, I was left with gems like this:

    Craig: i will add the 5%
    Craig: 1 sec
    Craig: sorry sir, spoke to the supervisot and because this bonus has ended week can retro act
    Craig: sire you have cashed in on the 10% for all on your deposit during that period
    luke: i know, i asked for my bonus to be credited, and they gave me 10% instead of 15%. that is your mistake, not mine. 15% should have been credited when I asked, not 10%.
    luke: i'm lucky i even looked at the bonus amount or else i would have not caught your mistake
    Craig: i will send the accounts manager an email. she will have to make the final decision on this

    Regardless, I never heard from the accounts manager, and the bonus still has not been credited. I tried emailing SBR on 6-24-08, but have not heard back from them either! I thought "A" books had a 24 hour turn-around on problems like this. I don't like airing my dirty laundry but I'm not getting anywhere via email or live chat.

    It's always good to call them and ask them to see if you qualify for the bonus offer before sending any book funds sir.

        Of course, sometimes those bonus emails are sent in error. However, my account is five figures in the red, and I spoke with them before depositing to a) ensure that I qualified for the bonus and b) ensure that their moneygram deposit info hadn't changed.

          Surprised to hear about this, I just had the exact opposite experience with them. I got the same reload email from them, contacted them a few days after their expiring date and they honored it. Sent moneygram and within minutes deposit + bonus was credited. WSEX/Matchbook have always been my favorites.

              Did you try calling them since and asking for the accounts manager?

              If they assured you of the bonus before hand, they need to give it to you.

              Keep on them. Don't wait for them to contact you. Call them everyday until this is resolved. There is no way this shouldn't be resolved after a week.

              I am surprised no one here has helped you either.

                When did you complain to SBR? With this post? If so, I don't think <12 hours is a reasonable time frame to expect arbitration.

                    Well Frank, you inspired me to speak with them again just now. Here are the results:

                    shireefa: Welcome to our live chat service
                    luke: hello

                    luke: I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I had on my last deposit

                    shireefa: Sure
                    luke: i made a deposit of $5k moneygram on 6-11-08 to take advantage of my 15% email reload offer

                    luke: it wasn't credited until 6-14-08, and I only received a 10% bonus at that time

                    luke: so I am still owed the extra 5% bonus, which is $250

                    shireefa: Your account was was credited with the 10%
                    shireefa: The moneygram deposits came with a 10% bonus , therefore you had to specify whcih bonus you wanted .
                    shireefa: There is no record of you asking for the transfer.

                    luke: what transfer are you talking about?

                    luke: also, i certainly did ask for the 15% bonus (why would I even need to specify this anyway?)

                    luke: please refer to the email I sent on 6-11-08 at midnight to support@wsex.com

                    luke: "Hello, I reloaded my account today via moneygram for the 15% bonus. The amounts are $2500 - (ref #1) and $2499 - (ref #2). Both transfers had a $9.95 moneygram fee. please let me know when they have been credited! thanks"

                      Something in his email triggered a filter. We are going to research it until we can send this email through. Fortunately we have other avenues of communication in the event an email does not make it.

                        He said he emailed SBR on June 24th in the first post

                        Luke get back in there or call and ask them why shireefa left your session in the middle.

                        Do not put up with that. Call and ask to speak to the manager. Keep calling until you get a reasonable explanation.

                        Them telling you that it is "difficult to apply now" is bull shit.

                          As I mentioned above, something in the body of your messages has triggered a filter and this is the first time we have seen your complaint. Normally this would be an easy one to fix with a book that is easy to work with. Apologies for the lack of response.

                          Your complaint is now with mgt. and should be addressed shorlty.

                            Thanks for the reply Bill. Willie Bee sent me a nice welcome email as well, and I spoke with him today regarding my problem. Here's hoping this gets resolved soon!

                              ok, it looks like a recent settings change for the word "sex." You should be able to get through without problems now.

                                    Luke mentioned he already sent in an email to SBR regarding his situation, So naturally I assumed a second one was not needed. However, I did not know it was it was caught in the spam email pile either. Now that this email blunder is corrected, lets see how fast this gets resolved. My guess is very shortly based on Wsex previous actions on these issues.

                                      No need Luke he has the complaint forwarded to WSEX management, it was just a filter that blocked your email at first but it's been fixed. You should get the rest of your bonus shortly, they are good with things like this.

                                        Wow. Hanging up in the middle of a chat session. Way to go WSEX. Totally unacceptable.

                                        Should it really be so hard to have direct correspondence with a manager in situations like this? It's way too hard to resolve these things only speaking to CS.

                                          WSEX are top notch accept for situations like this. Their attitude to customers when you contact them to get something soughted out is terrible.

                                            To their credit, they always resolve these issues once SBR is involved, but then again perhaps it shouldn't always come down to that. Better trained customer service reps would cancel out much of these confusions.
