I think there should be two ways to nominate a post. A + button to nominate a good post and a - button to nominate a bad post. If a poster gets 10 + nominations he gets 10 points like now but if a poster gets 10 - nominations 10 points are deducted. This will make posters think twice before making a stupid post.

There are a handful of guys who come over and make a post like; I agree. We don't want those. The forums are already too busy and football and soccer have not even started.

We are looking at ways to minimize the effect of the small group that seem to only participate in the loyalty program. This move is a start.

While that is a great idea, you basically are ending the legend of JJ Gold. He would end up with so many 10 pt deductions he might be at -5k points in no time. Everyone loves JJ but the majority of his 100k+ posts aren't exactly mensa approved!
