I think this is a great move. One of my biggest complaints about SBR is all the useless 5 word posts that clutter otherwise informative threads... now if Lou would actually fix those Catalina links like he said he would my other big complaint about the site would be taken care of.

Edit: To clarify the above post, the Catalina links were bad, but Lou fixed almost all of them after I had last checked. There's still a couple faulty ones, but I'm sure SBR will fix those also. Their web address is betcatalinasports.com in case anyone cares. Don't go to the old .net address or you'll get redirected to a page that may be malicious.

There are a handful of guys who come over and make a post like; I agree. We don't want those. The forums are already too busy and football and soccer have not even started.

We are looking at ways to minimize the effect of the small group that seem to only participate in the loyalty program. This move is a start.

Just click on the tab at the top that says "sportsbook". Log in with the same User name and PW that you used to set up your account here on the forum. Then pick a winner and make bets using your free loyalty points. Run your balance up to a gazillion points and retire. Thats about it.

I think there should be two ways to nominate a post. A + button to nominate a good post and a - button to nominate a bad post. If a poster gets 10 + nominations he gets 10 points like now but if a poster gets 10 - nominations 10 points are deducted. This will make posters think twice before making a stupid post.
