    Handicapping topic: Reverse Line Movement
    I keep hearing this term. Someone plz explain the edge to me. I'm not sure what people are referring to.

    Also, using RLM, when is the trigger point to bet? This is confusing to me for sure. I'm not sure there's an edge to be had. Is the consensus saying Bet the "hot" team after the line move? Or is the consensus saying grab the extra value on the inflated line? I don't get it, and I don't see the edge.

    A more logical argument = the BTCL theory. Assuming the closing line is sharper than the opener, the bookmaker error will be lower on closing lines. So, yes, any edge on bets you placed should translate into profits over time. Achieving such a portfolio, however, is not easily done.
