The referee crew was horrid throughout this game, but Brazil and their diving/acting is something that sadly happens with the Brazilian style of playing in competitions like this, and it caught up to them in the end. It's good that the bad calls by the ref was neutralized by PK's in the end

Great comeback. Play 1 player short for almost half the game and never quit. That faked injury where the Brazil player jumped off the stretcher might be the extra time the USA used to score on the header.

USA may not have the most talentent soccer programs in the world, but the rest of the world does not have the balls that USA(even the women) has! USA doen't always win, but in our minds we think we can no matter what the score is.

When USA plays in international sports you often hear the phrase "you couldn't write the script any better", that is because most teams give up when things look bleak, the USA guts it out and plays to the end. The USA doen't always win the big matchups, but we win more than our fair share of the games that we shouldn't win or win games when most think we have lost.
