You're right coaches always admit that the SEC has some of the slowest players in the country. They are a bunch of turtles out there. Oregon will run right past them and LSU will look like they're standing still. That's why a Pac 10 team wins the national championship every year. They are just too fast for anyone to tackle. You should unload on Oregon knowing how much faster they are going to be. Auburn couldn't keep up with them last year either, and LSU's defense is way slower than Auburn's was.

All I hear about is oregon's speed. These guys don't understand here in the southeast speed includes 4.5 Defensive ends, and 4.4 linebackers. Its about total team speed, not just the few RB's and WR oregon is flaunting about.

Game was basically Pick with some Oregon -1 hanging around, and Oregon is not on the road. And yes, LSU should win handily, fact that so many people like Oregon proves that line is right (equal action).

Losing Jefferson is not a loss if they start Mettenberger, so I actually see this as added line value. And as I said. LSU will win this game with their defense, Oregon will struggle even more here offensively than they did vs. Auburn in the NCG last year.

Looks like there is still a good chance that JJ could play. They met with officers today, no arrests were made, but the investigation is ongoing, and they all are still suspects at this time.
What blows my mind is , if the chance JJ is arrested and misses this game, it sounds like they plan to start Jarret (pix6) Lee. I am curious to see how he has (if any) progressed as a QB. I have not seen Mettenberger play with/against an sec squad in a real game though, so I am curious if the coaching staff knows something we do not, which is usually the case with Miles, he is nearly unpredictable.
