Why was this game scheduled the first week of the season???? I like Oregon due to their running game, but I don't think that LSU is going to roll over.

No cliff harris ( Thats big ducks best corner and awesome return man) and maybe no kiko alonso at backer . No doubt in my mind LSU is the more talented team just will they some how screw this up Auburn already layed the gameplan on how to slow the ducks down Thats stopping the run LSU has the corners to defend the the pass matheiu and claiborne brooks etc. Be intresting if the ducks can wear down LSU like they do other teams with their tempo i doubt it LSU is stacked on defense 2-3 deep at end with VHTs that played alot last year Freak Johnson Ego Ferg Brockers in the middle LSU is going to keep rotating in stud after stud.Comment -

LSU's dynamic playmaker Russell Shepard may miss this game due to an NCAA violation. He moved in with his girlfriend who happens to work in the Athletic Dept. As of right now, there is a 70% chance that he will still be able to play. This is because the NCAA probably will not make their ruling until AFTER the Oregon game.

I hear you, but Jefferson won't be the reason LSU wins this game. Remember they went 11-2 last year despite having one of the worst QBs in the country.
LSU is virtually an automatic play as an underdog here. That said, I am not convinced they will be dogs at kickoff, so get whatever points you can get ASAP.Comment -

For those of you who say 'LSU has a crappy qb and an incompetent coach', consider how badly they crushed Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl. Also, they only lost by a td on the road to the National Champion. How were they able to beat Alabama with Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Greg McElroy, Trent Richardson, Marquis Maze, Marcell Dareus, etc...? As LT mentioned, Jefferson does not have to be great and Les is one of the best coaches when he has extra time to prepare for a game.Comment -
Well their success last year doesn't change the fact that Jefferson is woefully inaccurate and Miles vapor locks during games, it was just that they had so much talent outside of QB that they overcame it. I think that all they need this year is adequate play at QB to reach the BCS Championship.
Regardless, they should not be dogs to Oregon on a neutral field.Comment -
You guys may want to find out exactly who is PLAYING in that game before putting your money down. There is a better than 50/50 chance that LSU loses Russell Shepard for that game due to some off campus housing screw up. Then there is the DT issue at Oregon. This game is a pass for me. I see that the usual amount of SEC homers are out in force. Why you would back a team with such a terrible offense is beyond me. I will be on the LSU ML for this game. I thin Randle will have a good game with JJ taking snaps. Shepard or not, LSU will be able to get into the end zone. I expect Mingo, Montgomery, Rascoe to keep the oregon offense on its heels. LSU by 6Comment -
Actually, it was an 'ON CAMPUS' screwup. The apartment is actually on the LSU campus next to where his girlfriend works. SEC backers are out in full force, because they already know what time it is buddy. SEC vs. Non-Conference is insanely dominant. Just go look at the last few National Championship games. Yes, I understand that it is not a 100% guarantee, but the stats are overwhelmingly lopsided. It is LSU or no play. The game will practically be a home game for the Tigers also. We are cool BigdaddyQH, so don't read this as though I am trying to 'show you up'.
