Got one of teeth ripped out this morning...tips?

Went to the dentist with an achen tooth...got there and the dentist said If I wanted to save the tooth I would have to get a root canal and then put a crown on it and they would have to scrap away some of my gum to get the crown on properly. I said fuk it rip the bitch out... Its one of my back molars right next to my wisdom tooth. Now Its hurting like a son of a bitch. Told me not to eat solids or smoke for 24 hours to let the blood clot heal. Took a couple of tylonal too.

Any thing else I can do?

Richie they had to give me three shots of novacain....They gave me two and they started ripping the bitch out and I could feel everything...So they gave me a third and we were alright...but no they didnt give me any pain medicine ust told me to take ibprofin or tylonel....

In my opinion, it was stupid to have the tooth extracted. Once you had the root canal, the pain would be gone. So what that you have to go back in a couple of weeks for them to finish the job. The pain would be gone. Now, you will have a frickin gap

Man, i heard some horror stories about US dentists, putting mercury in fillings (in the 21st century) and stuff, but i never thought you wouldn't get pain meds after such stuff... get some ketoprofen asap.

Also, after he let you decide between the root canal + crown and pulling it out, did he even do an x-ray? I had the same situation, could save a tooth or pull it out, but the x-ray showed the tooth was welded to the jawbone so a regular extraction was out of the question, so my dentist said he would send me to a surgeon if i wanted it pulled out...

maybe he gets the tooth out and when the pain and swelling are gone he gets one of those implants you screw in... as opposed to the ones you support on the adjacent teeth. that is the only scenario that makes sense.

You should of gotten a root canal and got the crown. I have had 2 root canals. I feel it is important to take care of your teeth. Even if it is in the back of your mouth when you talk/smile sometimes you can notice a tooth or teeth missing in my opinion it looks terrible. But some people do not think like me. Just my view of it.

not a tube...more like a swab. pretty painful dude... i have had some painful experiances. I once tore all the ligaments in my knee. it was the worst ever.

Wisdom tooth is not so bad...i would never want a front tooth out. Never let a doctor do the piss hole test dude. If the doctor asks, say No or just leave. I went to the doctor for anxiety and the doctor was like 90. he asks me if im active i say yeah, ive had a gf for a long time, then he says i got an STD...WTF? anyway, i never did and have never had one. The test hurts pretty bad and it hurt to piss for about 24 hours after.

Blew my knee out this year and also had a root canal. Knee was by far 10x worse.

A bridge is better than the screw in ones. a family member of mine lost his teeth early and he got implants. Hes now 50 and having major problems cuz they just sit in your jaw and rot away.

depends on the screw method i suppose... i would assume such a thing was done pretty differently 20-30 years ago or whenever this case happened.

instead of losing the protective layer on 2 healthy teeth, i'd rather get a porcelain tooth with a titanium screw into the jaw bone.

Go and buy some motrin and take 800mg 4 times a day as needed. Max dose is 3200mg. Make sure you eat something before you take the motrin. Good luck

Had a tooth pulled 20 years ago. New dentist told me all my teeth are shifting and he wants to put a new tooth in. A bridge or some shit.He had to file the two on the sides to basically put in a three way cap. I told him to go fuk himself and his bullshit. Ten years later no pain no shifting and this fuker is in jail. everyone is trying to shaft someone to make a dollar.
