Ditto on this thread being a little late to the game, inception came out a long time ago. Anyways, I liked the movie, you really have to pay attention to the dialog to understand it which can be hard for some people.

Dude, you make it too complicated. Seeing his kids faces at the end is like a totem in itself. It is not something he can project from his mind because he has not experienced it.

Totem at the end makes you wonder if the entire movie was just a dream... well makes me wonder anyway.

Not sweating, this is actually what I think. See my post awhile back about the director creating hype by making it unclear. But TwoWays seems to think he knows the OneWay it really ended.

I thought it was a decent movie. Compared to what is currently being spewed by Hollywood it is great. I'm still not sure why everyone thought it was so complicated.

Cobb no longer cares whether he is dreaming or not, that's why he stops looking at the spinning top.

My initial reaction was that the top looked wobbly, and was going to stop spinning. It doesn't really matter though, because Cobb didn't care.

Wasn't as complicated as people were making it out to be though. I thought I was going to have to solve matrices in my head based on what my friends were saying.

I rate the movie at about a 7.6. Good, but not great. Interesting and intellectually stimulating, but could have been better.

Wow, if a movie sucks and you give it "6.5", then it didnt suck. It's better than mediocre.
Meanwhile, it will be one of Nolan's finest films. IMO Memento was his best picture, but he's a top story teller. If you compare Inception to say, the Expendables, you have a conundrum on your hands. A movie with no plot unless you like to have a toss on action heros versus a movie that requires you to suspend reality for a touch?

Inception is a top 100 film without thinking about it. Perhaps into the top 50.

IMO, far TOO many people came out of Inception ala the Matrix because it wasn't some TNT original where they said everything 10x for some 6 year old to figure it out. I know, using your brain hurts.
Mine hurts even typing, as well as critiquing proper cinema...
But again, you like what you like.

Even Shakespeare was written for the 'TNT" crowd of his day. Just sayin.. I don't like me some Shakespeare F that guy. More over-rated than the Cowboys and the Yanks put together.

People do NOT go to the movies to solve a complicated puzzle but as a means of a temporary escape from their lives even if its only a couple of hours.

In order for anyone to enjoy watching Inception, they had to concentrate intensely throughout the movie and if you didn't, you had NO IDEA what was going on.

Due to this, the movie was a complete and utter flop.
