bought the blu ray without ever seeing it....didnt like it...havent watched it again....yet i still find that purchase to be a better value than the time i rent dinner for schmucks for a dollar

I liked it. But isn't it true that there isn't a clear explanation of exactly what happened, and that there are a few explanations? I think the reason it goes black while the totem is spinning (but uneasily) is to get people arguing about the possibilities of what happened thereby hyping the movie and selling tickets, no? (Note: Watch what's about to happen in this thread!)

No totem needed because he saw his kids faces. The same scene before he fled the country where he did not see that seen unfold. Therefore the last scene is reality.
