#158Guys I really am not sure if low gas prices are so good for us. All it means is less demand for crude do to reduced productivity. Why don't you guys just put a cool air in your cars, take out all the crap to lighten in (spare tire, sand), some say mix in acetone will double gas mileage.
....or just get a bike, or commute by train.
I think in the big picture we want gas prices to be where they should be because they ARE correlated to crude oil. These low prices are not an indicator that things are getting better so I'd probably stop cheering.
Sorry to be glum about it, but it's economics; crude is low because some investors bought up insane futures (probably the ones that need to be bailed out now, but I don't know who...check SEC). They will exhaust themselves soon (no more open interest), and gas is going back up. Take my word. It could go to $10 if government doesn't interfere.Comment -
