You should see it in your account now.
Great job Bill. This is why SBR is better than those other forums

Also props to 5Dimes for doing the right thing.

Thanks Immortality. 5Dimes is very quick to address issues but I didn't expect more than a bonus for the inconvenience on this one.

For the record, home/away errors at 5Dimes will not result in a cancellation in the future. I am going to suggest they note this in the rules in case a losing bettor comes back and calls foul.

Interesting and surprising turn of events. I guess Tony felt this was incredibly obvious. I'm glad things worked out for you.

Thanks Bill. It was surprising to see how many in here thought this was similar to taking a shot at a book. The bottom line to their decision seems to be if the line is correct, the home and/or away designation should not matter.

Not one person in the thread even came close to comparing your situation to taking a shot at a book, so unless you got a flood of PMs....

Congrats on winning your freeroll, and 5D adding a rule to cover this in the future is a good result.

What part of that does not at least insinuate I knowingly made a wrong bet? That would certainly sound like a bettor taking a shot, if true.

I saw their game last week and thought 42 points was too much, and was taking them regardless of where the game was played.

I meant that you knew it now (or should have, given what 5D told you about why the bet got cancelled), not that you knew it when you made the bet. Strangely enough, the fact that it could be plausible (since it's commonly listed in the other order, just not on 5D), and their lack of a written rule for handling those situations, is the reason they had to do something about it. Adding the pinnacle rule solves the problem in the future as well.

I thought there was an implication the bet was made knowing the info was incorrect. Obviously now there is no question who the home team was, but their response seems to show the line should be more important than the order the teams are shown.

A lesson learned for all, and a big thank you to Bill for helping to clarify the rule.
