Here's where you went wrong. When she brought the plastic plate drenched in pickle juice, when you specifically asked her to dry it off, and she didn't, you should've gotten up, walked over to the trash can, and dumped it in the trash. Then tell her that you said you didn't like pickle juice on your sandwich. Or when she brought home the diet juice, immediately open it up and pour it down the drain, saying that you didn't ask her to buy you garbage, you asked her to buy you the no sugar added one.

It's an asshole move, but it works. Think about it this way. One of you is going to suffer. Why should it be you, when you didn't do anything wrong?

chili, you're right. The worse you treat them the better you get treated, but it's not my nature. My grandfather was one of the biggest a-holes that walked the planet, he treated everyone like sh*t especially his family. But on that rare occasion he actually did something nice, he was a f'n god.

The only problem is I couldn't get up because of my back. I should have just called her back up the stairs and told her to take it back down, dry it off, and bring it back as per my original instructions.

spank, there's a difference between making a meal and making a sandwich. Any idiot should be able to make a sandwich, chips and a pickle sans pickle juice. Heck, I didn't even ask for any condiments on said sandwich.

The larger issue is her "apparent" lack of knowledge of what I like and how I like it. The 2 examples I cited are but 2 of many. Something is fishy.

Now she decides to make Hamburger Helper for dinner with a can of corn. Actually came out good, but I asked her to put it in my favorite bowl and mix it together. Of course she doesn't listen, she brings it up in a Corningware-type storage container that is divided so the corn is on one side and the Hamburger Helper is on the other. Unfnreal. Then I ask her "where's my Ginger Ale"? She gives me a look and groans. I'm like WTF don't you know I need to wash this sh*t down? Can people get Alzheimer's at her age?
