#40Do what must be done to save the program. It's hard times for all.
On a lighter note I can now replace all my soiled clothes that were stolen from my locker at the gym today with barreled in t-shirts. Next fukk who steals from me is going to be in for a disappointment when he sees some bald midget fukk on his t-shirt.Comment -

#43Im sure SBR doesn't want to have to deal with the US government seizing its domain because its affliated with sports books and giving away cash for sportsbetting. I dont know the legal aspects but I am sure they are just covering their "ass"ets.Comment -

#51I don't want to spread any rumors or anything but I heard from a "reliable source" that Pizza's will be illegal by the end of June. When this happens... if a Police Officer should happen to catch you eating a Pizza or even if he catches you in possession of Pizza and you ask him... "What's wrong with eating Pizza?" He will reply "IT'S AGAINST THE LAW!". My "reliable source" also told me that there will be Pizza stings set up across the U.S. in order to keep the U.S. a safe place to live. I'm so glad our Government focuses on the IMPORTANT THINGS.Comment -

#52Would be nice if we could hear an official explanation as for the change. JJ theory makes sense, but it would still be good to hear a SBR rep give an explanation. Thanks.Comment -

#53SBR will allow non US citizens to purchase free plays, sportsbook cash, ect...business as usual.
But as of May 30th, 2011, hopefully only temporarily, US based posters will not be offered sportsbook credits, or freeplay bonuses from the SBR Store.
We have hired new legal council to advise us if allowing US citizens to use loyalty points to purchase these type of products violates any portion of the new laws. We do not think it does but want to be sure. Hopefully they will be back on the shelves soon.
I helped Lou rewrite his original post. I think this explains it better.Comment -

#63Its still early but so far it looks like there will be no more increases this year. The rule changes for non Pros that went to effect in Feb has really helped control the program.
We will see what we can workout with Pinny, Bodog.ca/uk and Bet365 and other non US books. We will get those up as soon as we can.Comment -

#65I ask this only because I like to stay current and don't want to miss things....You reference "the new laws". I assume that means you must have some specific new laws in mind. What news laws exactly are these? I'm aware of a certain federal law passed in 2006, but I haven't heard of anything new since then. What did I miss?
But we had a handicapper sue us because someone posted his pick and along the way allege the points are from the advertisers and a bunch of crazy assertions. So it occurred to me that let's have another look at them. It seems extremely obvious the points are from SBR to reward loyalty and not a round about way to fund an account. But it needs review.Comment -

#67As a 20K+ point holding US citizen, this rather sucks. I do believe it will be temporary though, as I can't possibly see how giving away freeplays violates US law against financial institutes processing monetary transactions related to gambling.
I guess it's also a good time inform/remind people that I offer point loans. If you are looking to pick up a freeplay/sportsbook cash before the deadline but are a few points short, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do for you.
Thanks,
ThaddeusComment -

#69Have yet to make a purchase from the store because I blow my points in the casino regularly, and freeplays are obviously a nice option, but the points still hold great value... still a lot of nice things to buy in the store that I would save points for and purchase over a freeplay.
