#144As usual, your stupidity has made you miss the point of the whole thread. I've pointed out along with several other players, winners or not, about how this software is set up, the way it reacts to supposedly common "random" variances, favors large chip stacks, and tends to award so called "hot streak" hole cards to certain players on a not so random basics. I already knew just by the process of observation and making a number of calls to him, that pako74 was going to win tonight, didn't make a bit of difference who was at the final table. The guy kept getting great "random" hole cards every hand and even when I had something decent to match up against him with, he'd flop, turn, or river a better hand. So at that point, strategy becomes meaningless, you just try and hang on for a decent finish. It is what it is, but it's not random.Originally posted by Cuse0323Mikey is it still such bullshit after you sucked out twice to stay alive to make the final table.Comment -

Guys get caught up in the fact they had a 66% of winning on the river and lost.
Those are great odds but no better than playing Russian Roulette with 2 bullets.
And usually it is the guy with a 66% advantage that goes all in and cries and cries when the 33% rivers him. I have a suggestion; dont be a hotdog. Bet the pot or something smaller. You are not sitting on a 99% chance so stop betting like you are.Comment -

Mike you whinge and moan about everything, and if people don't agree you go on the offensive and refer to people as immature, stupid, sbr ass kissers, homosexuals, etc.
You must be quite thin-skinned, since all I did was chuckle at someone else calling you out but that apparently equates to 'chachi boy started it'
I'm not the only one who has noticed that you 'go all douchebag the minute someone disagrees" so it's not me
I did make a post which was on point, but since it did not directly address any remark you made you must have skipped over it.
I've gone back and reread every post you made in this thread ... quasi-statistical breakdown as follows:
45% moaning
35% abuse towards those not in agreement
15% conspiracy theory / tin hat type stuff
5% JJ asslicking
Don't try to pretend your 'Mr Peace and Love' ... you're a internet bully wannabe who thinks 60% + edge in a hand equates to automatic winner, plain and simple.
I can change my avatar in a blink, somehow I think your 'SBR is out to screw me over' paranoia will take some time on a couch with a therapist.
With that, I bid you adieu and wish you the best against the crooked, skewed, anti-Mike poker software

#155Some days I don't say a thing to anyone, but others when I'm in the mood, it's fun to sit at a table and bs with guys on here that you have gotten acquainted with and chat with on forum on a daily/weekly or even monthly basis... that's the best part about SBR poker, the sense of comradery that is building on forum is really taking shape at the tables as well and vice versa.
Why bother continuing to e-fight over different angles that are not possible to justify unless you do what beerdog said and get some tangible evidence and history... until then who knows what's going on... and frankly who cares. It's still fun to play and a great place to improve your game for real money games.Comment -

#156Totally agree zam. I guess it's all right for other players to whine about their bad beats, but when I bitch about something I'm being a douche bag or "extreme" whiner. Chachi, how about you go read downsouth's poker contest thread, players bitch and moan about weird bad beats in there all the time. As far as being defensive to certain people on here, I won't discount that, I probably do occasionally get a bit heated about shit, but only after some asshole wants to turn it into something personal. Like attacking my playing style as if they were the fuk'in genius of online poker, or accusing me of collusion and their source is none other than mr. asshole instigator himself, Bateman!Originally posted by zam77Some days I don't say a thing to anyone, but others when I'm in the mood, it's fun to sit at a table and bs with guys on here that you have gotten acquainted with and chat with on forum on a daily/weekly or even monthly basis... that's the best part about SBR poker, the sense of comradery that is building on forum is really taking shape at the tables as well and vice versa. Chachi, I wasn't getting on to you about the "chuckle" or "burn" remark, but you've opened your mouth a few times in a smart ass reference to something I posted or in agreement with some idiot on here. What's more, I don't think you even play poker bro, I haven't seen you at the tables or caught your name on a winners list anywhere, so you really don't have a clue, except to get your two cents in. And that's cool too, everybody does it, some more hateful than others.
So as zam has so eloquently suggested, I'm going to take the high road here. I have been rather upset with my play and "luck" here lately, and it certainly doesn't help the situation to engage in a bitch fest pissing contest with fellow players. So I apologize for my "stuck in the '50's" remark. I actually liked "Happy Days" and always thought of it as a great family show. Even felt a bit sad when Tom Bosley passed on. And I want to extend that apology to anyone else whose experienced my negativity as well. It's not the type of person I want to be know as and it's certainly not a reflection of the person I am.
I generally like most of people on here and my whole reasoning of joining the forums was to exchange ideas, talk sports and become a better handicapper. A lot of that has fallen by the waste side, because I allowed myself to engage in hateful heated discussions with the batemans of sbr. Not anymore. I'm well aware there is a civil approach to conversing a topic with someone, even if you don't agree with the outcome or that person's point of view. I plan to play it that way from here on out.

My point is you will lose 1/3 of those over the long haul, guaranteed. Its not unfair, a bad beat special, rigged software or anything of the sort. Ive seen guys have a meltdown when a guy with two pairs hits a boat on the river after they went all in with 3 cowboys. It happens, like in Maverick.Comment -

#160fwiw mike, I played poker here heavily at the beginning and was final table the last three nights in a row in Feb.
I stopped in March as I live too far from the servers in CR ( ~7500mi I think ) and the latency/connection issues would force DC me upwards of two dozen times per contest, so I finally just stopped as it was winding me up building up a medium stack, calling on the flop, being raised, and force folded due to DC over and over.Comment -

#165people calling for stats/numbers as proof, I suggest looking at number of royal flush winners compared to number of hands played which will show 3-4 times more then normal I am guessing. Even if only double proves that cards are not random as suggested. SBR knows how many hands played and knows most of the royal flushes and wonder what the numbers are. Very smart to create a contest and then many winners to promote, which was done here.Comment -

#167Yeah I'm seeing quads pop here on regular basics lately. It's strange, because in one session I'll see straights hitt'in left and right, of course I'll hit 4 cards with an open ender and neither card shows up!Originally posted by acekinga lot of quads here too , 22 starting hand becomes 2222
The next session it's flushes and/or quads.
Maybe sbr could "tweek" the software to increase or decease the variance of the RNG and maybe we would see a more realistic outcome to certain hands. I mean come on, how often do you see quads at a live table? Has got to be one of lowest percentage hands out there.
