#9I didn't have a wager affected but I wouldn't rip Sasha. That's the NBA and what you risk when betting on games. The last minute of the game is always garbage time and you're praying on free throws, ridiculous 3 pointers, and steals for a win on your wager even though everyone on the court already knows who's going to win.
People rip on baseball because of closers and relievers blowing but that's much less random and more skill/lack of skill oriented then the bullshit at the end of NBA games.
Don't hate the playa, hate the game.Comment -

#12Love it...Had -4 4th qtr line....Sucks for those who lost outright though....Had flashbacks to the worst loss I've ever had...
Robin Ventura hit a walk off grand slam for the Mets but got mobbed at first and didn't round the bases....So my Mets run line lost....Comment -

#17so what explanations are there for a player shooting a 3 pter like that other than it having to do with gambling ? are there any seriously ?
seems that should not be allowed , i have never seen that , esp in the playoffs .
anyone have the scoop ?
i knew he was a dirty player all along though to be honest about it .Comment -

#18Guys Parker hit a 3 from 8 feet beyond the 3 point line right before that. Unbelieveable that it went in. I felt screwed for that. So I dont consider the Sasha shot a bad beat at all.Comment -

#19for the record.....couldn't you say the same thing about tony parker, on the flip side???? They were down 11, with 25 seconds to go, did we REALLY think they were coming all the way back???? No, PLUS i found it very odd Duncan and the rest of the Spurs basically stopped playing, while Parker was running around trying to run it up....Comment -

#21Guys shoot that 3 when they are down by 10 at the buzzer too.....Some people just do that...You could rip on Tony Parker for taking the previous 3 too...Most teams would've put it in their pockets down 8 with 10 seconds left.....
That's garbage time in the NBA....
Sucks for those who lost.Comment -

#22Not to mention, unless you really capped the refs to favor the Spurs due to the missed foul call on Fisher, the Spurs backers deserved to lose.
From the game/player aspect however, that was a pretty unclassy play.Comment -

#25there are no explanations other than that play by sasha was involved with the gambling aspect of the game . what just happened never happens , esp in a high profile playoff game .
you hold the ball when you are up and the game is over . any other feedback and i would question if you really have a brain or not . go check and see if you have a brain , you might need to go to the doctor if you think different than me breaking the fuccin shi down for you .
is dirty , always will be and will never change . these people have relatives that they advise on what to bet on the game . these guys are no different than you or me .
some have heart and are true to the game like myself and some are straight hustlers .
OF COURSE THE SPURS WOULD SHOOT 3S , THEY ARE DOWN AND PLAYING FOR THEIR SEASON . THE TEAM THATS AHEAD EATS THE BALL , END OF STORY .Comment -

#29i dunno...i still think Sasha got a little excited and jacked it up...classless, i guess so....a fix???? I dunno....Duncan shooting a 3 from 4 ft from behind the arc certainly wasn't a smart play...neither was not fouling the lakers with a minuteish to go....you could look at a bunch of stuff and point out how it screwed/helped one out (full disclosure: Sasha's shot helped me out a lot)....i remember Farmar killed me one nite because he hit an open 3 when they were up 8ish with one second left and screwed my 2nd half under....guys are supposed to shoot, play hard...i am not saying Sasha should be excused for what he did, but again, couldn't you all agree Parker was sorta doing the same thing????Comment -

#30thankd god for matchy.. i had +8.. and i am not happy at all right now.. but if i had +7.5, i'd take a drive from East LA to staples center and wait for him outside.
isn't it ironic as i posted this a week or so ago to JJ and look at who is the guy to cost SA bettors tonight.. Isn't it ironic how JJ was mad all night at everyone from the fighting and guess who costs SA bettors tonight. JJ was getting even with us all tonight.

#32So the guy makes $1.7 million this year, has the earning potential to make a bunch more and would risk all of that to make a little coin with the mob? Come on....Seriously?
Some people have been gambling way too much I guess.....
He saw an open shot...he took it...Likely wasn't thinking much.

they overspend I remember Iverson in Philly had financial problems years ago
That being said no player will fix a game for his team to cover
it's too hard
