Anyone can beat anyone heads up if you catch the right hands, one heads up can't be the reason Dwan is better than Negreanu. Negreanu has been around the top of the money list for how long, and as someone said he has sick reading skills.
                              Not knocking Dwan just saying.

IMO the best is Negreanu, closely followed by Dwan and Ivey, although there are many great players who wont get a mention.

Just listen to an interview with Bobby Hoff and he said Unger would get his ass kicked in a full ring 5/10 NL game today. He said he was a great short handed player but a full ring game was to slow for him.

If you honestly believe that you should take a seat with 9 professionals, play 5 tournaments (or 10 if you'd like) and assign 10 points for a win, 5 for 2nd and 2 for 3rd. Then see how many times you win a given tourney and ultimately where you stand at the end of the experiment in terms of points. You will then realize that although there is luck involved, there is a considerable amount of skill.

I'll take that anyday, most "pros" are not that great at Sng's.

10 tourneys is not enough to overcome variance. You would need at least a 1000.

not true. nobody can read people like him, youve never seen anyone call out opponents cards like he does. ive even seen him do this to real pros and in cash games. the top 2 in my book are negreanu and ivey. hard to argue with dwan, the numbers dont really lie and his consistency is amazing.
