The only competition you could win is the Hot Dog Eating Contest. No way you could get into the Olympics fattyComment -

That sounds like a class next door to the Crochet and Crosstitching course for seniors. If you were really serious about MMA, you'd be going to a place like Gracie Barra at 4900 N. Lincoln.Comment -

This will be the first time I get into it. I never wrestled, I never boxed, or anything like that. Always played football, baseball, and basketball. Dont have a lot of experience in fighting besides a couple street fights I have been involved in, in my younger days.... It is a beginner course which is what I need to start off. I am an athlete though so I will catch on quick. I need to work on my cardio though, I am in good shape but not in good shape for MMA fighting. I am going to start running 2 miles a night and doing some bike workComment -

#28The first six months is always the hardest, and that's honestly when most people quit. Some people love it, and some people hate it. I hope they didn't promise you anything as far as really becoming pro though. Most people in UFC, KOTC, WEC, etc.. have been training single disciplines of muay thai, brazilian jiu jitsu, and/or wrestling for 15+ years. If you're doing it to get stronger, expand your mind, feel more confident in your abilities, and enjoy yourself, you'll stick it out. But, if you think you'll be the next Tito Ortiz or Randy Couture in a couple of years, you should honestly save your money and your time. I've seen too many kids with that attitude straight up drop it in a month after paying for 6 months in advance, and complaining that they can't get a refund.Comment -

#31You've got to give credit to anyone who gets involved in MMA. At the highest level, these SOB's are in incredible shape. And then to step in there and realize you could get knocked out or submitted at any time..... Piss on the that for me. Best of luck.Comment -
