DJ what in your opinion are some good type of stats to look for to measure a team's offense (from sabremetric pov). I'm starting to learn some about pitcher's and xfip and babip. For hitting, I currently just pull up ESPN and team's page and look at the stats on how the team does against the type of pitcher they are up against (LHP and RHP). I just look at BA and OBP a little to have an idea how they do but don't really have any reasonable baseline to figure out the team's value.

Just start reading as much about sabermetrics as you can and you'll eventually find some metrics that you like more than others. www.baseball-reference.com is great and has many features including an easy way to copy stats into your excel spreadsheet. Every stat I use comes from there and every metric I use is derived from those stats. GL.
