#320I've stopped tailing in the last few weeks as your plays seem to be getting more and more unpredictable. Knowing as we all do what a coin-toss MLB tends to be I find it amazing that you now have several plays of 4% and a few at 2% on this sport.
Are you just getting a bit bored of the grind of it all? Looks that way to me....Comment -

#323ktorp, agree (and add...especially those that can't figure out that % means <*> or <x> or <unit> = "whatever we feel comfortable with, as long as it's consistently defined"= considerably less than an actual percentage point if you wish
i figured out long ago that dj's got a bigger stomach for relative bet-sizes than i do, and define what he calls <%> accordingly...
in a calendar year of playing almost every day...this is dj's first serious downturn...i see this as an opportunity to "buy in after a dip" cautiously
DJ, bro...steady...focus...plenty (unlimited actually) of rounds left in this fight...use your well-established "boxing" (ie. objective-thinking) skills (edge-recognition, "money management"=bet-size selection based on the magnitude of that edge) skills...don't get lured into a slugging match (ie. falling prey to the subjective temptation to get "revenge" or "save time")...
discipline and patience...you won't just survive this...you will prevail...

#324DJ usually has some good swings.
No amount of armchair rationalizing from the peanut gallery will help to be fair.
Best to start tailing when he's down -- if ever.Comment -

#325Tried to take some time off and re-work the formula. I decided in the end not to change the formula but to let it run instead... If it continues to falter, I will go back to the drawing board and try some new metrics. There are a few I've been looking at. We still have 2+ months of solid baseball left and that's plenty of time to still get back into the positives. Plays for tomorrow will be up in a bit.Comment -

#333I think this is what my downfall was; I basically used the same formula this year as I did last but clearly every season is different. I've been taking the last couple of days to overhaul the formula and add a few new metrics. I'll be testing it over the first week or so after the All-Star break and will then return to posting. Cheers and good luck.Comment -

#334DJ, chek out what "Bodio" has been posting over in covers the last few days with regard to MLB analysis. Probably nothing much new, but just might help you find the perfect tweak for your machine.

#337Still tweaking... the formula has been doing good since the break but not great. I don't wanna come back without being fully behind it because the mess of a first half has me rattled. I did post the top play yesterday (NYM) and today (KCR) for anyone who wants to follow along. But ya, not ready to post in here yet. Soon I hope!
And oh ya, Mayan, the links are at the start of this thread to show how I turned 1600 into 10000. So before you bash me for dropping down to 7k, understand I'm still playing with bookie money; something you've never done.Comment -

#348Check the first page you goobers... Has links to the first two "chapters" where every play is posted/documented from $1600 to now. This is the Final Chapter because it has the lofty goal of turning 10k into 100k. I'm guessing it takes about 4 years to do but I will get there. Most degens can't handle the ride but I know there are some out there that stay the course and make a pretty penny doing so.Comment -
