This trade was Isiah's baby. He's coming back. Donnie Walsh is done. Someone once said the Nuggets didn't have a carmelo anthony type player to score a bucket when they needed one. Problem is, Carmelo Anthony is not a carmelo anthony type player.

Expectations were set way too high for the Knicks. After being the laughing stock of the NBA for the past 5 years, I think making the playoffs with a decent record is a big stride in the right direction. The only question now is whether or not they will continue to make the right strides.

If they are smart in the offseason, they will go find a center and a PG. If they do that, they can contend with anyone IMO.

I dont think embarrassment is the word to describe it, they were playing an elite team in the celtics, had key injuries to players and new players were thrown into the mix and expected to play well. I think the Spurs are going to be the biggest embarrassment when they not only lose to the memphis Grizzlies who were an 8th seed, but because Memphis was tanking games at the end of the season in order to play the spurs.

Anthony is a liability on the defensive end. He always has been and always will be. He was never asked to be a quality defender at Syracuse or with Denver. Both programs/teams would just outscore you. I bet his high school team just blew teams out too.

next year the knicks will win 55 games and be the 4 seed and then in 2013 knicks will be the 1 or 2 seed, either fields and douglas will get better or be off the team all their major role players were rookies basically unlike just about every other playoff team. Theyll be fine once they get a great three point shooter theyll be good
