    Umps have alot to do with the game...if he is calling it tight your gonna have a hard time throwing strikes on the corners so you put it a little inside and see ya home run

      I don't use over and under records, I use ball/strike ratios. Umpires DE and JH move the totals.

        Wally should of had the under yesterday but the 9th inning blew up then extra inning homers, I wish they put out the umps earlier

          Interesting thread, there was something on ESPN about the Mavs in their series with the Trailblazers. They said that one of the refs in that series has the Mavs with a 2 and 16 record when he officiates the Mavs games. I have never seen anything with an ump in base baseball and certain pitchers with lower era's.

                    i didn't read every post so this may have been addressed, but i think
                    wide strike zones would favor unders, and tight strike zones would favor overs.

                            I don't think playing Over or Under should be based on Umpire behind the plate alone.. I think..you should try to handicap a game based on team stats..For example..You think certain game is gonna be Over..you check the ump and if he is notorious for being an Over ump..you just put a little bit more and be a little bit more sure..that's all.

                                narrowed it down to 4 under umps edding, miller, hoyes, and hirsbeck

                                4 over guys mclelland, holbrook, bucknor, and reynolds
