Vlad Guerrero runs the bases the same way Andre Dawson did his last couple years playing.
They look like they are in alot of pain.

Yeah, Rivera hasn't lost a step, and Thome hit 25 jacks last year playing sporadically.

Had a duece on Colon last night.
Told myself yesterday afternoon, "this guys going to chuck a gem tonight, he doesn't want to be in the bull pen, he knows how to pitch, and he's pitching for one last chance to become a big league regular rotation starter"
I read from scouts a few years ago that Hughes has the worst work habits out of all the pitchers in the league, that he's basically a million dollar talent with a ten cent brain.
Lazy, and doesn't listen.
I believe it, he falls apart after 130 innings, this year after 15 innings.
Tim Wakefield is another, Timmy, you are like 65 years old, you are a good guy, had a nice career, but enough already.

I agree with the OP about Varitek. Watching him bat makes me cringe. He had runners on base in every at bat yesterday and didn't move them along once.

except that salty lack of arm ia couldn't throw out his mother trying to steal...and could be first player to never hit .200...varitek can't hit but handles staff better...they need a catcher and there aren't any out there to be had...

Not yet, but it's getting close.
He's been better at the plate the last few games.
Let's see how May plays out, the dude is a professional hitter, he'll adjust, he's still one of the best right handed hitters going to right field, never was a pull hitter.
