Full Tilt, Pokerstars, Ultimate Bet seized by gov't?

Is this going to affect Bodog at all. I just cashed out via check and I'm hoping it doesn't bounce when it gets here.

Would I be wrong thinking that Bodog may use some of the same payment processors as the three sits busted today?

Could. Their instant deposits went down earlier this week but I have no idea.

the gov't didn't seize their accounts, they placed a restraining order on their banks. And yes, they had been processing some payouts today, I think a lot of it depends on the processing method.

there are many prosperous countries that allow their citizens to gamble as they wish

there is zero correlation between it being detrimental to society or the governments ability to acquire funds

if it was about votes then there would not be any casinos outside of las vegas, and we see the trend of this

i jusat requestred a payment on tuesday an d i still waiting
i only have about 100 left in the account and i hope to be able to cashed out next month.

This is not true. The poker processors are done. Nothing has been said or done about sportsbooks. I know a few books that use processing that can never be stopped. Take that for what it is worth.

I have decided to keep my money at the books, I'm not withdrawing. There are simply too many sportsbooks to stop I think. It's not like the poker sites where there were 2 poker sites that took 99% of the business.

I would like a statement from Justin or Bill or John though. I realize they may not know what is going to happen but I would like to know either way.

sucks for poker players, im not a big online poker player, just sports betting, but i think im gona quit that now and just be done with online gambling for good

so are people who have been cashing out from these poker sites and not paying taxes on it now **cked? I wonder if they are going to look and see who has been getting money and not reporting, can the government even pursue this?

Offshore books will always find a way. Look at Sportsbook.com, the biggest online book out their. They had some hick ups when the government shut down most of their processor, and they were slow paying for six months. Eventually these book will figure something out if they were to lose their primary processors. It's already been proven 5 years ago.

Cite me a study which stated there is zero correlation. The latest research suggests that the correlation is unknown. The research is too complex (what type of gambler, what type of gambling). If you decide to provide me with a reference make sure it is from a peer reviewed journal or government resource with zero ties to GA, Indian Tribes, or Casinos.

The promise of a "better life" often cited by many politicians who advocate the building of casinos is short lived. This is my Atlantic City prospective. I am actually for "anything goes" when it comes to drugs, sex, and gambling but I am also not stupid enough to think that these things don't contribute to society's ills. I rather make everything legal and just use a portion of the benefit to educate people about the effects.

They say gambling is not ethical..that people will get addicted and lose all their money & do stupid things. Well what about alcohol? How much has been destroyed because of alcohol. Like drunk drivers, domestic fights, killings etc sometimes all happen because someone drank too much. You can go to almost any other country and place a bet and no one will look at you weird but here it's like- omg he gambles...just figure it out how everyone of these big wigs is gonna get their piece of the pie & get on with it.
