despite his slow start I still feel Albert Pujols, for the one reason, his bat is still explosive, and it will show as the season progreses.

          Troy Tulowitzki.

-- Truly exciting to watch him play defense, and his batting numbers are as good as it gets for a SS.

Pujols. He's been the best player the last 3-4 years.

But he doesn't play in 80 percent of the games his teams plays, and out of the 20 percent of the games he does play for his team, he loses 33 percent of those.

Albert Pujols is the best hitter I have ever seen. He is still the best offensive player in the game, he just has no one to protect him in the order. No other position player mentioned has been consistent for as long as Pujols. He is having a slow start so people are sleeping on him. I'd have to say it isn't even close.

Lob Law hit it right on the head. Either Carlos Gonzalez or Joey Votto but probably the edge to Carlos Gonzalez. I gotta say Carlos Gonzalez because he is a 5 tool player and better defensively than Votto.

I have to go with Albert, but I think he made a big mistake not cutting a deal with St. Louis before the season began. He is a sensitive guy and this will weigh on him as the season goes on. If the bullpen closer Franklin is not replaced and some stability restored there, albert is going to press and his numbers will be hurt.

Barry Bonds is no doubt the best player to ever put on a pair of cleats....

Troy Tulowitzski even though I like him a lot is a tad bit overrated and has inflated numbers b/c he plays in Colorado. Also hasn't shown that he can stay healthy. Would not put him in my top 5.
