I usually just limp-call or limp-fold, its a very safe way to win a tournament...

If you push all in pre-flop, no one is calling unless they have a great hand as well (or unless they don't know how to play poker).

      Say it's 25/50.

So the pot is 75, and one person calls before you. Now you push all in, and no one calls. You win 125 out of AA instead of having a great chance at winning a lot more. It's very -EV to push all in in that situation.

Speaking for myself, I will almost never call a preflop all in (assuming the person has a real stack they're pushing) unless the person pushing is a known donk. SBR Poker features people who haven't a clue and constantly go all in, so I occasionally will call those.
Online you'll be getting called by any pocket pair frequently, AK-A10, KQ,etc.

I can't tell you how many times I shoved pre-flop with AA-KK and get called by 88 because they think I have AK.....lol

But every play is situational, depends on the game, the players, etc.

Thaddeus has to be the luckiest **** in the world.

You have to remember every game ends with you holding AA, KK, QQ.

Whatever you do, limp, raise, shove, you lose.

I will occassionally go all in on a preflop. sometimes it works, sometimes not, but the situation depends on it.
What i cannot understand is why so many people "fold" when all they have to do is "check"
Two did within 4 minutes yesterday at same table.
            Why would this happen?
Why fold when you dont have to call a bet, all you have to do is check. Whats the strategy, I dont understand?

It totally depends on table dynamics and what hole cards you have.
