#37Why that was an excellant point.
As for BetUs I hate that book.
Bonus rules are teribble no payout for any money above or beyond deposit. Take a game -200 only what u win counts towards roll overs, they don't count the risk on a fav.

The mgmt there would probably like to pay but the owners are a different story. Good luck getting this settled.

#47These days a once a payout is confirmed as processed you are out of the woods. But, I still would not want to be a player with a wagering dispute where a large amount is at stake. So far it seems they are doing what they want in this case as if it is negotiable. We hope to discuss with mgt. by Monday morning.Comment -

#55I've addressed over 100 complaints against BetUS, although I don't have this dispute. In every dispute I've had in my time with SBR, BetUS has treated the player fairly. They have also been very prompt in responding to my inquiries. While this is no guarantee of fair treatment, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt until I personally see something clear.Comment -

If you know of an outstanding screw-job by BetUS that hasn't been resolved, would you please repost the details? I'll be happy to take another crack at it. That, and I don't want to carry an inflated impression of BetUS if there is an long-term outstanding problem.Comment -

#57Here's an outstanding BetUs screw job:
In July of 2002 I came to the forum to tell my story. After about 200 replies and 8,000 views it was deleted by someone at the Prescription. The Prescription claimed that they still don't know how it happened, and regret that it disappeared. So please don't ask me why I didn't tell the story...
Technically it was resolved, but they ultimately stole money since they forced the player to post up more money and middle his way out of there. There were others at the time taht were forced into settlements.
And then there's this one which I was asking about. Any updates? Is this a valid claim?Comment -

#60Because they have high page ranking and they advertise everywhere.... I believe they also pay companies to remove bad press/comments in forums down to be lower in the search engine. Betus is very good with SEO. Search engine optimization.

#61BetUS (SBR rating D+) informs player of $18,300 confiscation
The bettor made his first deposit of $1,000 in April which he lost. BetUs contacted him to give him a $100 bonus which he also lost. The player made a second deposit of $1,000 on April 18th. He then made winning parlay wagers that brought his account to $18,300. He was told by management that the [iSBRFORUM]BetUs[/iSBRFORUM] credit card processor has informed them of a ********** dispute with poker site, Ultimatebet, that it also services. The player claims BetUs told him in order to get a payout he would have to settle the dispute with Ultimatebet. The player sent [iSBRFORUM]Ultimatebet[/iSBRFORUM] $2,000 which cleared the credit card dispute and reopened the account in good standing. After resolving the issue with Ultimatebet, BetUS told the player they are keeping his winnings.
Player: On 4/10 i made a deposit of 1000, on 4/18 i made a deposit of 1000. I made a 5 team parlay on 4/18 - mets, nationals, brewers, cardinals -1 1/2, and indians that paid off around 13k...on the same day i made a 2 team parlay, indians -1 1/2 and whitesox -1 1/2 that paid off around 3k...(a few smaller bets also but not significant) the next day i went to withdraw and they froze my account...when they unfroze it for an hour a week later when i cleared up everything i made a few bets and won another 1600 mostly on the laker-nuggets game 3...On April 29th I spoke to Dan and he told me he is "confiscating my account", "we dont want your business" and he will reverse the 2 charges that i made BETUSComment -

#66It's debatable whether one book should be able to judge another's transaction. In some cases the player is an obvious scammer who doesn't honor losses after deposits. In others, it's a matter of Sportsbook.com taking four months to pay and the deposit being a similar amount to the current balance and the player needs to make a move.
Regardless of what happened before, if they are taking valid bets and allowing him to lose money but keeping winnings, that is theft. If the Ultimatebet account is open, not much more is relevant to BetUS.
Justin is going to discuss the dispute with BetUS. Maybe they have something to add on why they won't pay now.Comment -
