#59Business owners pay their employees wages, the players are more then fairly compensated for what they do. Do you actually believe the players of today give a rats ass about the players of 20 years ago? Seriously? They care about what's in their wallets...no one elses. There are many points in this standoff, and you'll probably hear about all of them over the coming weeks. Just an example, the owners offered that the "former" players that are now on NFL pensions were offered a 60% increase and the players didn't agree. But stuff like this is "filler" for deeper issues.
But I would ask...if you were a business owner who paid your employees a fair wage with benefits, would you open your books for the past 10 years because they feel they deserve part of your profits? The owners have players who signed contracts to a specific wage...so obviously they've agreed to their pay....being "underpaid" as you say is no one's fault but the players, or they shouldn't of signed.Comment -
