ive always been impressed w/ henne...i think he has a more open playing style compared to brohm...he can play the pro, spread, and west coast IMO while brohm is limited...

Not to be a downer, but this draft didnt seem so exciting to me as past ones. It just seems like we knew almost every pick that was gonna happen...maybe I need to get some beers in me or something.

Both quarterbacks aren't that great but at least both have potential. Chicago's qb's are a bunch of stiff's
Can't believe they didn't pick a quarterback. Must have a good feeling about Kyle Orton turning it up a notch this year. What a joke

I agree. Maybe b/c 1-6 or so everyone knew. Since the media was on top of everything. I didn't find myself surprised as much as in the passed. Not to mention the talent in this draft is supposed to be pretty bad.

i figured manningham and jackson would drop...but i figured teams like the redskins, bills, titans, or cowboys wouldve went towards a tall receiver...although the bills did just take hardy in the 2nd

My Steelers are in for a long year because of the o-line -- Faneca was a good run blocker, but he stopped protecting Ben a year or two ago!

Why don't we allow them to be our Steelers? I suffered through the 1980's just like the rest of the diehards!

Any Steeler fan is a friend of mine. I was born in Pittsburgh as was my family - still have much family there and I love the city and OUR team.

So about our team ... I think their picks today are glamour picks and appeal to my fan side, but a large part of me believes without the offensive line help, these picks are going to end up to be all but useless this year ...
(hope I am wrong, though)

ML, you ditto my thoughts from earlier in this thread ... or maybe it was the contest thread. I had dreams of Jake Long in black and gold - even though that was never gonna happen. I picked Albert for the Steelers and I would have also been happy with Otah, but we got a RB and a WR ... not sure what that's about, but Pittsburgh is well-known for their quality drafting, so I will leave them to it!

We are 1st day wizards, 2nd day busts and then, once again, great at mining out undrafted FA's like Willie P and Mr. Harrison!

Still a fun contest, even if I was sucking wind on pick #3.
