Official SBR Costa Rica Bash Registration

First time in costa rica. Is the Del rey master suite the way to go? Or would you suggest something else?

If you're planning on staying in that immediate area (known amongst mongers as 'the gulch') then the del rey is fine. They do charge a 'guest fee', per girl that you bring up to your room, and last time I checked it was $10 a girl, but it could be higher now. Security there is very, very good, and there's usually no problems, because the del rey will ban any girls from their premises if the girls give any problems. All girls must present their ID at the door to get in, and security swipes the girl's ID through a database to check if she is okay to be allowed in.

The rooms are not the nicest for what you would expect. You should check out The Sportsmen's Lodge as well. There's no guest fee to bring a girl back to your room. It's a really nice place, and they'll take your bets as well. Just google for their website. Personally, I would stay at The Sportsmen's Lodge before I stayed at the Del Rey, but that's just me.

The Del Rey is like a grown up candy store, literally. The food is rather good at the Del. The alcohol is over-priced, but not too bad. Premium drinks like Jagerbombs or shots of Patron are rather expensive.

I am surprised there hasn't been any updates in the hotel information for people coming in early or staying late. Are we getting some sort of corporate/group rate or do we need to just do it on our own? no mames sammy!

I wish I had my 5D check I ordered this Monday. I would be a Pro after a deposit and go to the bashington. Tough by the time I get all settled.. (SBR Pro) and get my money they will be no more spots to be re embursed for my fees. I wont go if I dont get $300 back.

Wow. What a cheap-ass baby. You won't go on a free vacation, stay in one of the nicest beach-front resorts in Costa Rica, eat for free, drink for free, play golf for free, play poker for free, or party like crazy with fellow gamblers, if you can't get a measly little $300 refunded to you?? What's not the way to enjoy life, stressing out over 300 clams.

I can pretty much assure you that if you put yourself on the waiting list for travel that you will get it. Over half the people that have registered will not attend the bash guaranteed. Last year the bash was in vegas and people on the waiting list that were like #30 got their travel.

The wheels are in motion for the Del Rey. If you want to talk to a rep at the sportsman's lodge and set it up, I am down. But I have us set up at the Del Rey for $270 a night. I will cancel Del Rey if you want but you need to set up the Sportsman's Lodge if you want to switch.

If your guest is at least 21years of age they are welcomed to partake in all of the venues that are happening at the Bash.
As for Poker it all depends on the availability of seats as SBR posters have first shot at the seats. There are no charges for attending as a Guest.

I agree with the reasoning behind the warning but I really gotta question the sources where you obtained your numbers
I've read tons of info on CR and no hard statistics are known because working girls in CR are not required to be tested
Also, working girls in Costa Rica come from many different countries including Columbia and the Dominican Republic, they work for several weeks or months and then go home, so statistics in Costa Rica, if kept accurately, would still only include those who live and stay in country,
That being said I certainly wouldn't go bareback there either
