The cost for flight from the US are ranging from $400 - $800 depending on where you live.
I have also been told that a flight from Australia is around $3,000.
The rate for a standard room at Los Suenos is $169 per night. But we are still working on a cheaper rate for SBR posters that will be extended beyond the 2 nights of the Bash for those planning on coming early and staying later.
As soon as the deal has been verified I will post that information.

#183It is weird how you have to be 21 to go, because the legal age in Costa Rica for gambling, prostitution, and drinking is 18.Comment -

It's out of your budget that's all you have to admit. Keep airbetting and grinding those SBR points at the book/poker.

Canuck - Filed for my passport last week. Never had one before. Until recently, you didn't need one to enter Canada and I've never traveled abroad. Make sure you get a big hug from that mouse while you're there....and stay away from the creepy guy in the corner without any kids.Comment -

#194pura vida! have fun everyone...I would def. go if I was Pro, but my bankroll is pretty small haha...oh well. I recommend travelling to areas outside of San Jose as well, if you can afford it. Costa Rica is absolutely beautiful, but San Jose is pretty much a dump in comparison to other cities in CR. If you really care to experience Costa Rica other than going to the bash, definitely venture out!Comment -

#196Nothing. But going to college really isn't an excuse. They call it summer for a reason. It's nice to get out to Europe/Australia once in awhile...well worth it.Comment -

#197That would be all well and good if I was privileged enough to come from a family with money. I went home for the summers like 98% of college students and worked to save money for the next school year.
We all can't just run off for a rendezvous to Europe in between semesters.Comment -

#198Well of course students work in the summer but 98% of them also go on road trips or out somewhere other than where they're from to explore the world. Just saying it's well worth it and you don't need to have boat loads of money.Comment -

#201Yes, Canauck...please enlighten us as to your world travels. Since you're only 19...I can't imagine you've been too many places on your bill. You can omit the 14 country family vacation you probably went on as a child, since you didn't pay for it.Comment -

#205disneyland twice when I was 11 and 13. disneyworld when I was 14. My dad and I go to Vegas almost every August. Europe was a cruise we took when I was 16. Louisiana is from another cruise that docks from there we took around the Caribbeans which covers the rest of those places. Mexico was the west coast of it like cabo san lucas, Acapulco and ixtapa...washington well I live just above it and go to seahawks/mariners games. Oregon = oregon coast sand dunes. New York when I was 17 during christmas..
South Africa and Thailand when i was 8
also ft. Lauderdale was another place that we docked from on Norwegian Cruise LinesComment -

#206I had guessed the Caribbean countries were part of a cruise as I did the same thing. Usually when people go on a regular trip they don't tend to island hop. They're a great way to get a bit of a taste of a place so you know if you'd ever want to make a trip back there and stay for a longer time.
Travelling is good for the soul. I suspect if more people had the opportunity/desire to travel overseas, people as a whole would be more tolerant of each other.Comment -

#207yeah I recommend Norwegian cruise lines...free style dining and just an amazing cruise ship overall. It was either that or Royal Caribbean...and that one has set eating times which means you can't be doing other things and have to follow a stupid schedule.Comment -
