Are you kidding me? How did he get screwed? How the rules are set up the only two real outcomes for the fight were either a draw or a win for BJ. Striking, Octagon Control, Takedowns, and Submission Attempts, that what the judges are looking for, I don't see any way you can give fitch either of the first two rounds. The only round in question is the second where fitch got taken down, got his back taken, and BJ put up a few submission attempts, all Fitch did was get a reversal and his nose broken.Comment -

penn gassed as usual after 2....i don`t care how you try and explain it....for a great fighter,penn has mediocre(i`m being kind)cardio at best....
what really shocked me was fitch moving penn to the fence...the fence was the only chance that penn had of getting up...and fitch obliged....
an embarrassment for fitch to not have dominated penn...i think it worked out perfectly....who really wants to see either of these guys fight gsp again?...

I'm all for the ring idea but the UFC is based on the idea of the "Cage" and the "Octagon" As far as the idea no weight cutting that would mean that they would either have to monitor all of there fighter constantly which really wouldn't be a viable option or that they would have to weigh in just prior to the PPV. If someone missed weight just prior to the PPV event it could possibly really mess up the whole schedule for the fights and the UFC as a business would not want that.Originally posted by King Mayan
One thing that would help is knees to a downed opponent, this would cut down the the amount of times someone was willing to shoot, if they miss and get crushed with a knee they will think twice, this also helps strikers against wrestlers.Comment -

BJ Penn accepted a beating in the third. It could have easily been stopped. The first 2 rounds were close, but Fitch should have easily been given the decision.Comment -
