Nope.
Not a one. Not because the two players you mentioned aren't worth it, but because you can't predict things like injuries.....I always go back to Grant Hill. Hill was a dominant player, Hill was Rookie of the Year, an All-Star his first two seasons---and was the first Piston to score more than 1000 points his rookie year.
After his first 6 seasons....only 2 players, Larry Bird and Oscar Robertson had better offensive numbers than Grant Hill did.
And then the injuries started.
And had Detroit locked him for 10 years---my god, what an awful contract that would have been.

That's actually a pretty good point, as long as there isn't too much guaranteed money, at least not towards the end of the contract.

I didn't say "he's proven" as in he's left no doubts. I said "what he's already proven"- as in what he was able to accomplish as a rookie. I was contrasting him to players like Strasburg and Bryce Harper. Assuming the person signing to a 10 year deal would be young, I'd rather take the young guy who's proven the most. Taking over the best staff in baseball half-way through the season and then taking them all the way to a championship win is pretty good as far as rookie seasons go.

Carlos Gonzalez, dude does it all, plays defensive outfield, hits 30 plus taters, drives in 100 plus runs, steals 20 plus bases, hits for average, doesn't juice, and is a pretty good kid.
